Nomado's 7-seater rentals are the most affordable way to keep everyone (and the luggage) in one comfortable, automatic SUV. We typically rent Mitsubishi Outlander or similar models from 2018 or newer — proper 7-seat SUVs with 4WD and roof racks, not a cramped 5+2.
New Zealand's drives are long and scenic, but they're long. A real 7-seater means everyone has a proper seat, climate control reaches the back, and there's still room for suitcases. Much cheaper than renting two separate cars, and you all stay together.

Pickup is available at our Auckland depot at 19 Tironui Road and Christchurch depot at 305 Marshs Road. Free transport connects each airport with its nearby depot. Our 7-seaters fit standard NZ parking spaces, unlike larger 12-seat vans.
Christchurch is our busiest 7-seat pickup for South Island family trips — Tekapo, Mt Cook, Wanaka and Queenstown. Free transport connects Christchurch Airport with our depot at 305 Marshs Road, around 15–20 minutes away depending on traffic.
From Auckland a people mover suits Coromandel, Rotorua, Taupo and Northland family loops. Free transport connects Auckland Airport with our depot at 19 Tironui Road, around 15–20 minutes away depending on traffic.

Standard insurance, unlimited kilometres, unlimited approved drivers, normal New Zealand toll road charges, normal cleaning, GST, mechanical roadside assistance and a roof rack on request are included. Premium, optional equipment and driver-caused call-outs are separate charges where applicable.

Yes — our 7-seaters comfortably seat 7 adults for shorter trips. For longer road trips with luggage, we recommend 5–6 occupants to keep boot space generous.

Yes — baby seats, child seats and booster seats are $5/day each. Just add them at booking.
Yes — 7-seater hire is available from our depot at 305 Marshs Road, Hornby South, with free transport from Christchurch Airport. The depot is around 15–20 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.
Yes — roof racks are free on request, which makes our 7-seaters popular for surf trips and ski weekends at Mt Hutt, Ohau and the Queenstown fields.
