About Nomado
Nomado started with a simple idea: car rental in New Zealand shouldn't be expensive, complicated or full of surprises. After years of seeing visitors pay inflated airport rates, get nickel-and-dimed on insurance, and queue at counters that took longer than the flight, we built a better way.
We're a locally owned company operating from Auckland and Christchurch. Our fleet is small but well-maintained — a curated mix of budget cars, economy hatchbacks, mid size SUVs and 7 seaters with 4WD. Every rental includes unlimited kilometres, standard insurance and unlimited drivers at no extra cost.
We also run a campervan rental business under the Nomado brand, so we know what travellers need on a New Zealand road trip — flexibility, transparency, and a car that doesn't let you down halfway up Arthur's Pass.
