Can I take a rental car on the Interislander ferry?

Yes. All Nomado cars are permitted on both the Interislander and Bluebridge ferries between Wellington and Picton. Just tell us at pickup.

Is it allowed?

Yes — Nomado permits all our cars on both ferry operators. Some rental companies restrict this or charge a fee; we don't. Just mention it at pickup so we can note it.

How to book

Book directly with Interislander.co.nz or Bluebridge.co.nz. You'll enter your rental car's registration when you check in — we provide it at pickup. Book 4–6 weeks ahead in summer; a week ahead is usually fine in winter.

Cost
